The highly anticipated Health, Love, and Wellness Festival: A Stevie Wonder Tribute

The event is almost here, on July 22, 2023, from 10 am to 7 pm, at the Woodward parking lot of the College for
Creative Studies. The event is a celebration of community, culture, and good health. It is being
spearheaded by Stevie Wonder's family, Sharon DuMas, who was also behind the initiative to rename
Milwaukee Avenue in Detroit to Stevie Wonder Avenue.

Stevie Wonder is a beloved icon in the music world, known for his timeless hits and messages of love and
unity. Stevie and his family have been dedicated to spreading messages of good health, especially as Stevie
has recently undergone a kidney transplant after complications with diabetes. This disease
disproportionately affects the African American community. Sharon DuMas, the event organizer,
said, "Stevie and our family believe in promoting good health and wellness,
especially in our community. This event is a tribute to Stevie's legacy and a chance to
promote these critical messages."

The Health, Love, and Wellness Festival: A Stevie Wonder Tribute event promises a day of fun, music, and
community activities for the whole family. Attendees can start the day with health screenings and
participate in the Stevie Wonder Cover Song competition featuring local talent and choirs. Various
food trucks and vendors will offer healthy options and locally made goods, allowing
attendees to support the community and enjoy delicious food.

Throughout the day, attendees can dance to Stevie Wonder's music and participate in family-friendly
activities, including face painting and balloon animals, a petting zoo, carnival activities, youth mental first
aid training, speakers, jump rope competitions, a community spelling bee, and more. The event entry costs
range from $5-$15, and affordable family passes to the public. All proceeds from food sales and vendor
fees will go directly to Full & Fabulous, a non-profit organization offering
immeasurable resources for residents from youth to adulthood.

Sharon DuMas, the event organizer, said, "We are excited to bring the community
together for Health, Love, and Wellness: A Stevie Wonder Tribute. This event is an opportunity to
celebrate Stevie's music and message of love while promoting good health and supporting a great cause.
